"Enrico Bossan was born in Dolo in 1956 and lives in Padua.
In 1987 he won the Kodak Award for professional photography. His photographs have been exhibited at Houston Fotofest, in Amsterdam, Turin, Venice (during the Biennial), Tokyo, Rome, Milan and Salonica where, in 1996, he organized a personal exhibition.
Among his most important publications: "Beijing-Paris" edited by Fabbri in 1986, a travel from Asia to Europe following Italian adventurous track, and "Exit" edited by Peliti in 1992, a book on America nowadays, in cooperation with the photographer Roberto Koch.
Enrico Bossan has worked for a long time for an editorial project about Italian medical services, enthusiastically documenting the way patients live inside hospitals. Thanks to this reportage, in 1996 he received The Romeo Martinez Award within San Marino Meetings. In 2000, together with Pietro Veronese he realized for Cuamm "A Difficult Privilege", black and white reportage about the sociomedical cooperation in South Saharan Africa. In 2002 he published the book "The Circle of Health", edited by Biblos, a photographic travel of medical facilities in Padua, with a view to bringing citizens to national health board. "Africa Is" (edited by Contrasto in 2003) immortalizes a positive image of the continent: people, objects, colours. Afterwards he keeps on documenting hospital realities by making short films (November 2003 & July 2004).
In January 2005 he realized the project "Urgency Emergency", communication strategy created in order to diffuse the way medical facilities work in case of urgency and to present the new Emergency Room at Rovigo Hospital. The realization of the related communication plan has been a strong professional and creative spur for Enrico Bossan. As a matter of fact, in the future he intends to extend his work in this direction.
Over the years, Bossan's works have been published on magazines such as Epoca, Sette, Marie Claire, Time and The Independent.
From 2004, he is a teacher for the Journalism M.A. at the University in Padua."
